Team Rules and Expectations

Rules and Expectations

1)      All situations are dealt with on an individual basis, every player and situation are different thus requrining different disciplinary actions

2)      Be on time for everything.  If you are going to be late, call or text a coach.  There are very few acceptable reasons for tardiness.

a.       Being Late = 1 Poll for every minute (4:30 Start Time)

b.       1 Missed Practice = 20 Hills

c.       2 + Missed Practices  = Loss of Playing Time (TBD by Coaches)

d.      1 Missed Game = Sitting out Next Game

e.      2 + Missed Games = Loss of Playing Time or Removal from Team

3)      There will be ABSOLUTELY no thrown helmets, bats, etc.  You represent Saint Albert, if this happens you will be immediately removed from the game; if this happens at the end of a game you will not play the following game.

4)      You will hustle on and off the field during both practice and games, if you cannot hustle you will not play

5)      You will not disrespect your opponent, umpires, coaches, fans, etc.  If you cannot respect the game that is being played you will not play.

6)      You will not SWEAR, not only do you represent Saint Albert but also your family, act like a man and handle the situation appropriately. 

7)      You will be given a roll that the coaching staff feels is best for the program, if you do not like the roll that has been given to you please come talk to us, but you will not put youself in front of this team as the TEAM is bigger than the individual.

8)      Lettering Criteria – If you play in a V game you will earn a V letter

9)      Playing Time – Playing time is a priveledge not a right.  The best players will play at the Varsity Level.  JV/9th is reserved for all players to show case their skills to try to make it on the Varsity roster, all players will be given an opportunity to play at these levels. 

10)   Rosters –             A Varsity Starter/Contributer will only play Varsity

9th Graders Not Playing or Contributing on Varsity will not Suit Varsity

11)   JV/9th are expected to help with field prep after JV game, as Varsity players take care of field after Varsity Games

12)   Players are expected to wear proper baseball attire during all practices, i.e pants, t-shirts and hats.
